Ecommerce web design

With online shopping becoming ever more popular, ecommerce sites need to offer consumers a great online experience. An attractive website isn’t enough. Our ecommerce websites are designed to convert browsers into buyers. Provance has a proven track record in creating multilingual websites across a range of CMS platforms, including WordPress, Shopify and Magento.

Lead generation (brochure) websites

If you’re a business that sells services or high-end products, your website is your brochure. At Provance, we’re highly experienced in delivering websites that attract traffic and convert visitors into leads.

Mobile responsive web design

More and more people are using their mobiles to browse the web. Your website needs to look as good on a mobile as it does on a tablet or laptop. Every website we build uses a responsive framework, making your site as easy on the eye on a mobile as it is on any other device.

Website conversion rate optimisation

Conversion rate optimisation, or CRO, is all about maximising the number of potential buyers who become actual buyers, improving your ROI. Before beginning your project, our experts analyse your existing site’s performance, and provide recommendations on which design will maximise your CRO, and so maximise your ROI.

Micro sites and content marketing

Our diverse inhouse team of experts have delivered engaging, interactive and visually appealing micro sites and content marketing to prestigious clients across the UK and beyond.

Web analytics

How do you know if your website is working? It’s about more than just the bottom line. Web analytics, such as Google Analytics, allow you to monitor user behaviour to increase both traffic and conversions. We build them into your site to maximise your ROI.

Creative Design Process

Creativity isn’t just about how your site looks. It’s about how it works too. Some agencies only care about your site’s appearance. At Provance, our dedicated experts deliver websites that don’t just look stunning, but perform stunningly well too. Our approach to the creative design focus is simple: we focus on the person using your site – your customer. Every project begins with getting to know you, your brand, and your audience. Once we understand that, we can build a website that not only delivers an enjoyable and user-friendly experience, but also delivers the results you want. Provance is more than just a web design agency. We have a full inhouse team of digital marketers, with expertise in everything from content and SEO, to PR and blogger outreach. We’d ideally placed to ensure that your website delivers organic growth from day one.

Maximise your ROI with Provance’s expert team.

Customer persona creation

Before we can target your customer, we need to know who they are. Our UX architects work with you and your existing data to create a clear picture of your ideal customer.

User journey mapping

Your users will have their own reasons for wanting your product, and their own shopping preferences. Journey mapping enables us to understand their wants, needs, and habits to create better experiences for them, and increased conversions for you.

Before we go to full graphics, you have the chance to review the structure and functionality of your website to ensure it meets your requirements. We use Sketch, plus animation programmes, to give you real time experience of using your new website.

Mood-boarding and initial concepts

Appearance is just as important as functionality. We create a selection of mood boards for you to choose your preferred look and feel from. These mood boards include colours, fonts, and image treatments.

Final design and development

Desktop and mobile versions of your final design are presented to you. Once approved, the project is passed to our developers, who build it to your specifications, always bearing in mind performance and speed.

Website Content Management Systems (CMS)

Content management systems (CMS) allow non-programmers to maintain, update, and control their websites without needing technical or coding knowledge. Forget HTML, C++ or CSS. A simple management platform enables you to update your site as and when you want. Like all reputable agencies, we work with some of the world’s leading CMS platforms. And we don’t just abandon you to find your way around your new website. If you’re unfamiliar with the CMS we use for your site, we can also provide training to enable you to manage your site once we hand it over. Below are the CMS platforms that we most regularly work with. If your preferred CMS isn’t listed here, don’t worry. Just get in touch and we can discuss your needs.

Wordpress is the world’s most popular CMS. An open source platform, it’s continually tweaked and improved, meaning that it can do almost anything. It’s ideal for non-ecommerce websites or small online shops, when we integrate it with WooCommerce.

Another open source CMS, it dovetails as the ideal ecommerce plugin for WordPress, especially for small online shops with fewer than 1000 SKUs. While it’s narrower in scope than other ecommerce plugins, it’s easier to use and install into existing WordPress websites.

Another world-class platform for ecommerce, we typically recommend it for large scale online stores. Our expert technical team have delivered a number of Shopify websites to some of our larger ecommerce clients.

Recognised as the world’s leading ecommerce CMS, Magento is another open source, cloud-based digital commerce platform. It’s used by some of the globe’s largest and best known brands, and is ideally designed for stores selling more than 50 SKUs.

Other content management systems

While Magento and WordPress are the CMS that we most recommend to our clients, we understand that every business is different. If you have specific requirements for an alternative CMS, please contact us so we can discuss your needs/

Bespoke websites, apps and scripts

If your needs are more individual, we can help. We have a proven track record in delivering bespoke systems that meet our clients’ specific and individual needs. Our dedicated technical team have extensive experience in Google Scripts, PHP, and Apache.

How We Work

Based in Stamford, Lincolnshire, our design and development teams build websites for clients locally, nationally, and globally. We understand that a new website is a big investment. We know that you’ll have your own needs and requirements. We also know that you might not know everything that you need. Don’t worry. Whether you’ve got it all worked out, or need some help figuring it out, we’ve worked with businesses of all sizes and we understand how to develop concepts into great designs with great functionality. Work with Provance, and you can expect:

Clear project scoping before commencement

Client satisfaction is at the heart of all we do. You want to know exactly what you can expect from your new website. Before we start work, your dedicated project manager will work closely with you to fully scope out the project, so you’ll know what’s being done, and when it’ll happen.

Full project management

If you like to be in control of your projects, then we’re the agency for you. We understand that our clients want to understand where their projects are at any given time. That’s why we use one of the world’s leading SaaS project management systems so you can always login and check up on where we are, and what’s happening next.

Industry leading code techniques that facilitate collaboration

While we might be building your site, your organisation may have its own internal web design and development team that will take over the management once your site’s up and running. From front end frameworks and back end language methods, we work with your internal team to ensure that they can understand and manage the coding.

Agile project management

Things can change without warning. That’s why at Provance we’re big fans of agile project management methodology. When changes or needs change, we can react instantly and integrate them into the existing workflow without interruption. It’s also key to enabling teams – internal and external – to work together and understand the project’s position at any given time.

User acceptance testing (UAT)

We know that a website is a significant investment. It has to be right. That’s why no change is confirmed until you’ve had a change to test, appraise and approve it before it becomes a live change to your website.

We don’t abandon you when your website goes live. For two weeks after, we offer a hypercare package, where any issues, problems, or training needs are responded to quickly and within the project scope. After that period, maintenance packages are available that meet your needs and requirements.
