This SEO calculator is specifically designed to help busniesses owners and marketers get a better understanding of how much to spend on SEO.

About our FREE SEO Cost Calculator

We have developed this calculator to help those of you who are new to the SEO arena. Also, we wanted to provide a free tool where you could check up on your proposals from other agencies whether they’re being realistic with their prices and claims. We know (unfortunately) there are many agencies out there who are more interested in making money for as little work as possible rather than genuinely helping their clients succeed online. We are working hard to change this and are only too pleased to help out where we can to make things a little easier for you.

How to use our SEO calculator

Step 1. Decide what base package you require

At this stage you need to decide how quick you need results. Basically, the more budget you allocate to your SEO campaign, the quicker you will get more results. This is simply because this allows more time to be spent on your campaign which obvisouly in turn gets results. However, many agencies will say they are not prepared to work on your capaign with a budget less than £1000 per month. This is because thay are scared about not achieving results. We, however, have adifferent approach. We prefer to work with clients to find a budget that is sustainable to them and then set clear goals that we feel we can achieve with your budget.

Step 2. Now select the scale of the campaign

So this stage is all about the scale of your campaign. If you own a service type website, then a smaller sized campaign may suit. It will be dependant on how many services you wish to rank for. However, if you own a larger ecommerce site, then you will need a bigger campaign due to the need for each product to rank in Google. You may wish to identify the top 20% of products that bring in 80% of your revenue to give a priority to.

Step 3. Scale up your campaign with added extras

There may be specific services that you require that may not be included in a standard campaign. These may include things like:

  • Link Building – This is building incoming links to your website from high quality industry specific sites which help to boost your sites authority.
  • CRO (Conversion Rate Optimisation)* – Conversion rate is how many visitors to a specific page or website actually convert into a pre decided goal such as sales, leads or downloads. Optimising the page for maximum CRO is crucial so that you’re not wasting budget and getting the best return on investment (ROI).
  • Google Ads Management** – This is where an agency would set up and manage Google ads on your behalf. Bear in mind that this fee would not include your actual ad spend but simply covers the cost of managing ads. Unless you’re very familiar with the Google ad platform, it is wise to invest in the management of this as you can lose a great deal of money without getting anything in return if you’re not careful. Of course, not everybody wants to run ads but sometimes this can be a great way to quickly get sales and leads if you have a new website, product or service.
  • reviews.co.uk account and managenent*** – Reviews are a very good way to display trust to your prospects and clients. It also demonstrates that your site is a trustworthy one to Google too and can help with your overall rankings. We happen to be a partner of reviews.co.uk and implement their system on your website and gather reviews from your clients on your behalf.
